Visual Effects

Film visual effects play important roles in film
production through the enhancement of film quality, hence boosting viewers’ satisfaction.
 
​Visual Effects are the various processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shot. This involves the integration of live-action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic; but would be either too dangerous, expensive, impractical or simply impossible to capture on film. 

Visual effects using computer generated imagery has recently become accessible to the independent film maker with the introduction of affordable and user friendly animation and compositing software.​​

While special effects such as explosions, car chases and so on are made on set; visual effects are primarily executed during post-production with the use of multiple tools and technologies including graphic design, modeling, animation and other similar software.
